KVKK Information Notice

As the data controller, VDC Dental Clinic Turkey informs you under Article 10 of the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“KVKK”) how we process your personal data. Details on this website, its cookies and the Google services it uses are in our Privacy Policy.

2. Personal data we process

• Identity: your name and surname.
• Contact: your phone or WhatsApp number and your e-mail address.
• Health data (a special category): the photos, X-rays and information about your teeth and your health that you send us, and your treatment records once you are our patient.
• Customer transactions: your requests and messages, treatment plans and quotes, appointments and travel details.
• Transaction security: your IP address and the website’s access logs.
• Website use, only with your consent: data on how you use the website, collected by Google Analytics.

3. Purposes of processing

• answering your enquiries and preparing treatment plans and quotes;
• planning and carrying out your examination and treatment;
• arranging your appointments, transfers and accommodation;
• running the website and keeping it secure;
• measuring and improving the use of the website, only with your consent;
• meeting our legal obligations, in particular under health law, and answering requests from authorities;
• handling your requests and complaints.

4. Method of collection and legal grounds

We collect your personal data electronically, through this website and its free quote and contact forms, WhatsApp, phone and e-mail, and in person at the clinic. We process it on these grounds of Article 5 of the KVKK:

• it is necessary to conclude or perform a contract with you (Art. 5(2)(c));
• it is necessary to meet our legal obligations (Art. 5(2)(ç));
• it is necessary to establish, exercise or protect a right (Art. 5(2)(e));
• it is necessary for our legitimate interests, without harming your fundamental rights and freedoms, for example to keep the website secure (Art. 5(2)(f));
• your explicit consent, for Google Analytics (Art. 5(1)).

We process health data under Article 6 of the KVKK: with your explicit consent (Art. 6(3)(a)), and for medical diagnosis, treatment and care by persons bound by professional secrecy (Art. 6(3)(e)).

5. Who we transfer your data to

For the purposes above, and only as far as necessary, we transfer personal data to:

• our service providers: the hosting provider of the website, Google (Analytics only with your consent, Maps and YouTube) and WhatsApp (Meta) when you write to us there;
• transfer companies and hotels, if we arrange your transfer or accommodation, with only the details they need;
• authorised public institutions and courts, where the law requires it.

The website’s server is in the European Union, and Google and Meta process data outside Türkiye, including in the United States. These transfers abroad are made in line with Article 9 of the KVKK.

6. Your rights under Article 11

You have the right to:

• learn whether your personal data is processed;
• request information about it, if it is;
• learn the purpose of the processing and whether the data is used for that purpose;
• know the third parties in Türkiye or abroad to whom it is transferred;
• request its correction if it is incomplete or incorrect;
• request its erasure or destruction under the conditions of Article 7;
• request that the third parties it was transferred to are told of a correction, erasure or destruction;
• object to a result against you that arises solely from automated analysis of your data;
• claim compensation if you suffer damage from unlawful processing.

7. How to apply

You can send your request in writing to our address above, or by e-mail to info@turkeydentalclinic.com from the e-mail address you have given us before, or with registered electronic mail (KEP), a secure electronic signature or a mobile signature, as the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles of Application to the Data Controller provides. Please include your name and surname, your signature on a written request, your Turkish identity number or, if you are not a Turkish citizen, your nationality and your passport or identity card number, your address, and what you request.

We answer free of charge, as soon as possible and within 30 days at the latest. If the answer involves an additional cost, we may charge the fee set by the Personal Data Protection Board. If we refuse your request, or you find our answer insufficient or receive none, you can complain to the Board within 30 days of learning our answer, and in any case within 60 days of your request.
