Short answer: the best country for dental implants in 2026 is Turkey, followed by Hungary, Poland, Costa Rica and Mexico. Turkish clinics list the lowest typical starting price per implant of any major destination, about $300 to $520, compared with about $2,450 to $3,350 in the United Kingdom. Below you will find all ten countries, what their prices really include and how to choose a clinic safely.
Key takeaways
- Turkey has the lowest typical starting prices for single implants and for All-on-4, and more clinics listing implant prices than any other country.
- Hungary and Poland are the most affordable choices inside the European Union, a short flight from most of Europe.
- Costa Rica and Mexico mainly serve patients from North America.
- A listed price often covers the implant post only. Always ask what the abutment, the crown and any bone graft cost.
- Implant treatment usually takes two visits, a few months apart, wherever you go.
How we ranked the countries
The order follows the middle of the starting prices that clinics in each country list on MyMediTravel, in its guide updated in September 2026. Each range runs from the lower to the upper quarter of those listings, so a few unusually cheap or expensive clinics do not distort it, and only countries with at least six clinics listing a price are included. The prices are in US dollars, as the guide publishes them. For each country we add what it is known for and what to check.

| 2 | Hungary | $580–$750 | $5,300–$8,000 | Budapest, Sopron |

1. Turkey: the best value for dental implants
Turkey tops the ranking on price, with a middle starting price of about $350 per implant, and on choice: 65 Turkish clinics list a price in the guide, more than in any other country. It is also one of the busiest destinations for medical travel. According to official figures reported by Hürriyet Daily News, 1.39 million foreign patients came to Türkiye for medical care in 2025.
Most patients from Europe fly to Istanbul or Antalya in about three to four hours, and clinics in the larger cities are used to treating international patients. The Turkish Ministry of Health authorizes clinics for international health tourism, so ask to see that authorization before you book.
At VDC Dental Clinic Turkey in Antalya, an International Health Tourism Authorized Clinic and a member of HealthTürkiye, single implants start from £300 (Osstem) and the All-on-4 package from £1,900, with a 5-day hotel stay and VIP transfers included. We work with Osstem, Straumann Neodent, Straumann Medentika and Nobel Biocare implants. 2. Hungary: the European Union's dental travel classic
Hungary has welcomed dental patients from Austria, Germany and the United Kingdom for decades. Budapest is about two and a half hours from London, and towns near the Austrian border, such as Sopron, are known for their dental clinics. Typical starting prices run from about $580 to $750 per implant. As an EU member, Hungary follows the EU rules on medical devices, which some patients find reassuring.
3. Poland: affordable and close to Germany
Poland lists implants from about $630 to $810, with All-on-4 starting from about $3,700 per arch. Kraków and Warsaw are well connected by low-cost flights, and Szczecin, close to the German border, is popular with German patients who travel by car. Like Hungary, Poland is inside the EU.
4. Costa Rica: the favourite of North American patients
Costa Rica, with most clinics in and around San José, is a short flight from the United States and Canada. Implants start from about $660 to $790. From Europe the journey is long, which is why most of its dental patients come from North America.
5. Mexico: treatment across the border
Mexico lists implants from about $700 to $790. Tijuana and Los Algodones lie right on the United States border, so many American patients simply drive there, while Cancún combines treatment with a beach holiday. For European patients the long flight usually outweighs the savings.
6. Brazil: a large dental profession with wide price differences
Brazil has one of the largest dental professions in the world. Its listed prices vary more than anywhere else in the ranking, from about $360 to $880 per implant, so comparing exactly what each quote includes matters even more here.
7. Vietnam: a growing destination in Asia
Clinics in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi list implants from about $590 to $900. Vietnam is popular with patients from Australia and other parts of Asia; from Europe it is a flight of 12 hours or more.
8. Spain: convenient for patients who live there
Spain is not a low-cost country for implants, at about $740 to $1,050, but it is convenient for the many Europeans who live or holiday there. Madrid, Barcelona and the Costa Blanca around Alicante have a wide choice of clinics.
9. Thailand: hospital dentistry and recovery by the sea
Thailand lists implants from about $970 to $1,390. Bangkok and Phuket have large private hospitals with dental departments, several of them internationally accredited, and many patients combine treatment with a holiday.
10. Malaysia: a regulated health travel market
Malaysia closes the ranking at about $1,260 to $1,460 per implant. The government's Malaysia Healthcare Travel Council promotes the country to international patients, and clinics in Kuala Lumpur and Penang are used to treating them.
What a fair implant price includes
Comparing countries only works when you compare the same treatment. A complete single implant has three parts: the implant post placed in the jawbone, the abutment that connects it to the tooth, and the crown you see. A listed starting price often covers the post alone. Before you compare quotes, ask each clinic to list:
- the implant brand and the type of crown (for example zirconia or porcelain fused to metal);
- the abutment, the temporary teeth and the final crown or bridge;
- X-rays, 3D scans and the consultation;
- any bone graft or sinus lift you may need;
- the number of visits, and what the clinic covers if something needs adjusting later.
How to choose a dental implant clinic abroad
- Check the authorization. In Turkey, ask for the clinic's international health tourism authorization; elsewhere, check the clinic's registration with the national health authority.
- Know who treats you. Ask which licensed dentist plans and places your implants.
- Ask for the brand. Internationally recognised systems such as Straumann, Nobel Biocare or Osstem make later care easier, because dentists around the world know them.
- Get a written treatment plan based on your X-rays or a 3D scan, with every item priced.
- Plan two trips. The jawbone usually needs about three to six months to heal around the implants before the permanent teeth are fitted.
Frequently asked questions
Which country is the cheapest for dental implants?
Turkey has the lowest typical starting price among the major destinations, about $300 to $520 per implant, followed by Hungary and Poland.
Is it safe to get dental implants in Turkey?
Yes, when you choose an authorized clinic with licensed dentists, recognised implant brands and a written plan before you travel. The country is one of the world's largest medical travel destinations.
How long do I need to stay for dental implants abroad?
The first visit, for the examination, the scans and placing the implants, usually takes about five to seven days. You come back after about three to six months of healing for the permanent teeth.
Are cheaper implants abroad lower quality?
Not necessarily. Prices are lower mainly because rents, wages and laboratory costs are lower. Quality depends on the dentist, the implant system and the planning, so compare those, not just the price.
Is All-on-4 cheaper abroad?
Yes. Typical starting prices per arch range from about $1,400 in Turkey to about $9,750 in Thailand, and in Western Europe the same treatment usually costs considerably more.
